Escalator overhauling work started at 5 metro stations of Delhi Metro.
Digital Desk, New Delhi. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has started major overhauling work of escalators at five major stations of the Blue Line to further improve the safety and smooth movement of passengers. These affected escalators are those that lead from the concourse to Platform 2.
During this maintenance work, these escalators at Akshardham, Mayur Vihar Phase-1, Mayur Vihar Extension, New Ashok Nagar and Noida Sector-15 stations will remain temporarily closed. DMRC has clarified that this work is being done to increase safety and reliability in the long run.
DMRC's advice for passengers
DMRC has requested passengers to use the lifts available at these stations. At the same time, cooperation has been appealed to the passengers so that there is no inconvenience during this period. For more information you have been asked to check the official DMRC website or app.
