Jagran correspondent, Patiala. A complaint has been lodged in the area under Kotwali Patiala police station that a person was attacked by his in-laws after entering his house. The young man was seriously injured in this attack, while his mother and sister-in-law who came to save him were also beaten up. On the complaint of the injured youth, the police have registered a case against several people and started investigation.
The injured youth has been identified as Ravi Kumar, resident of Jagdish Colony, Patiala. In the complaint given to the police, Ravi Kumar told that he had a domestic dispute with his wife Mandeep Kaur, after which his wife got angry and went to her maternal home in Heera Bagh Colony, Patiala.

breaking into the house and fighting with family members
According to Ravi Kumar, on December 4 at around 4.30 pm, his wife Mandeep Kaur along with her family members and other associates forcibly entered his house. It is alleged that as soon as he arrived, everyone together started beating him, due to which he suffered serious injuries. When his mother and sister-in-law intervened to save him, the accused manhandled them too.
The victim alleged that the attackers also vandalized and damaged the household items and while leaving, threatened to kill him and his family. After the incident, there was chaos in the locality and people gathered nearby.

Police registered the case
Ravi Kumar told that after the attack, he and his mother reached the police station in an injured state and informed the police about the entire incident. On the basis of the complaint, the police have registered a case against Sonu, Pardeep Singh, Mandeep Kaur resident of Heera Bagh Colony Patiala, Fateh Gill, Doctor, Rifan Khan, Bunty, Gezi and others.
The investigating officer of Patiala Kotwali police station said that all the allegations are being investigated. The accused will be identified and legal action will be taken against them. Police say that further action will be decided on the basis of medical report and statements of witnesses. At present the investigation of the case is going on.
