The accused were arrested along with the ANTF team along with the consignment of synthetic drugs.
Jagran correspondent, Firozpur. Anti-Narcotics Task Force Firozpur Range has achieved great success under the war against drugs campaign. Acting on the basis of information, AIG ANTF Firozpur has arrested the female smuggler along with her accomplice and the drug consignment. At present, remand of the accused has been obtained and interrogation is going on.
Under the supervision of Gurinderbir Singh and the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police Prithipal Singh, the teams of Anti-Narcotics Task Force laid a trap on the basis of concrete information and caught two drug smugglers. The arrested accused have been identified as Raj Singh alias Raju, son of Mal Singh, resident of Hazara Ram Singh Wala, police station Sadar Jalalabad and Nisha Rani, daughter of Prem Singh, resident of Lakha Kadahi Lakhe, Uttar Police Station Sadar Fazilka.

were smuggling ice drugs
During the operation, 512 grams of synthetic intoxicant named Methamphetamine (Ice) was recovered from the possession of the accused. Along with this, a black motorcycle has also been seized, which was being used in drug smuggling. Preliminary inquiry has revealed that the accused Nisha Rani was living in Mohali for the last few months. She was working in a private hospital there and was living in a rented accommodation in the same area.

Investigative agencies also started investigation
The investigating agencies are probing deeply whether she was using her job and lifestyle as a shield to supply synthetic drugs in urban areas. In this case, a case has been registered in Mohali district police station under Section 22 of the Prohibition of Narcotic Drugs Act. The police have taken the accused on remand from the court and are investigating the main kingpins associated with the drug supply chain and the transactions of drug-earned money.
