Final Voter List Of Graduate And Teacher Constituencies Of Legislative Council Released, 11 MLC Seats Falling Vacant In UP

State Bureau, Lucknow. The final voter list for 11 seats of MLC teacher and graduate quota, which fell vacant on December 6 this year, was published on Tuesday. This list has been prepared on the basis of qualification date of November 1, 2025. Despite the release of the final voter list, voters can still become voters in it.

Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa said that on September 12 last year, the program to prepare new voter lists for these constituencies was released. The process of adding, deleting and correcting names was started by issuing a public notice on September 30.

After this, the final voter list has been released after examining the documents. Of the 11 vacant seats, six are held by BJP, three by SP, one by Shikshak Dal and one by an independent.

In the block graduation constituencies, 2,11,756 voters have been registered from Lucknow, 2,69,372 from Varanasi, 2,60,818 from Allahabad-Jhansi, 1,80,293 from Agra and 59,634 from Meerut.

Similarly, the block teacher constituencies include 46,553 teacher voters in Bareilly-Moradabad, 36,217 in Lucknow, 52,257 in Gorakhpur-Faizabad, 32,549 in Varanasi, 51,532 in Agra and 33,163 teacher voters in Meerut.

The Chief Electoral Officer also clarified that after the announcement of elections, the voter list will be continuously updated till the last date of nomination. That means one can still become a voter. However, all the changes will be valid only if the voter fulfills the conditions prescribed on the qualifying date of November 1.
