Jagran correspondent, Ghaziabad. The Municipal Corporation has tightened the noose on commercial establishments for not separating wet and dry waste. On the instructions of Municipal Commissioner Vikramaditya Singh Malik, the Health Department has collected a fine of Rs 10,000 from Barbecue Nation located at RDC Gaur Mall.
City Health Officer Dr. Mithilesh said that the team has intensified the process of collecting fine for violation of Solid Waste Management-2016 Rules, in which action is being taken to collect fine in case of non-segregation of waste by commercial establishments, hotels, restaurants, banquet halls, marriage halls, farm houses etc.
The trade license will be canceled along with a fine of Rs 10,000 for first violation, Rs 50,000 for second violation and Rs 5 lakh for non-compliance.
Preliminary proceedings will be taken under relevant sections under IPC section 269. During the tour, surprise inspection of the ongoing door to door garbage separation campaign is also being done.
