Smoke coming out after fire in the Godan near Jwaladevi Temple in Nawabganj town.

Samvad Sutra, Jagran Unnao. A fire broke out due to short circuit in the warehouse of a businessman in Nawabganj town. Due to the fire, goods worth about Rs 30 lakh kept in the warehouse were burnt to ashes.

Chowki police started efforts to extinguish the fire with the help of local people. The Nagar Panchayat tanker brought water. Fire brigade arrived an hour after the information. Businessman Nirlesh Dixit said that the products of seven companies including drinking water bottles, cold drinks were kept in his warehouse. All the belongings were completely burnt in the fire which broke out at around 3 pm. He said the loss was around Rs 30 lakh.

On receiving the information, nearby people ran and water was poured from several borings. The Nagar Panchayat tanker also reached. People poured water from buckets. About an hour after the information, the fire brigade arrived and brought the fire under control. But by then everything was burnt to ashes. Outpost incharge Mukul Dubey said that there was no loss of life due to the fire. Prima facie the cause of the fire is believed to be short circuit.
