Fire broke out in the forests in front of Panoth village in Dharasu range.
Jagran correspondent, Uttarkashi. On Sunday, a fire broke out in the Dharasu range forest just opposite Panoth village in the Dharasu range of Uttarkashi forest division and near Kalimath on the Takula-Almora motorway in Almora district.
Due to this, a cloud of smoke appeared in the sky. Dharasu Range Forest Officer JS Gangadi says that due to lack of rain and snowfall, incidents of forest fire are increasing in the forests.
Although there is no information about fire in the forest area in front of Panoth village, if it is so then a team will be sent there. Social activist Dwarika Prasad Semwal says that forests are becoming vulnerable to fire due to change in the timing of rainfall and snowfall due to climate change. The fire team has brought the forest fire under control in Kalimath, Almora.
