Jagran correspondent, Jalandhar. The morale of miscreants seems high in Jalandhar, Punjab. Here in village Kishangarh Adda situated on Jalandhar-Bhogpur highway, miscreants traveling in two cars opened fire on some youths standing at Karadi petrol pump. Two youths were seriously injured in this incident, who have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. This incident took place on Friday, December 19 in the afternoon.
According to the information, the attackers fired about 10 to 12 rounds of bullets and fled from the spot while abusing and threatening.
What did the eyewitnesses say?
People present at the spot said that suddenly firing started at the petrol pump. Two youths were seriously injured in the firing, one of whom was shot in the lungs and the other in the shoulder. Both have been admitted to Fortis Hospital in Jalandhar for treatment.
The controversy behind the firing?
After receiving information about the firing, the police immediately reached the spot and brought the situation under control. After initial inquiry, the matter is said to be related to a dispute between two groups regarding the headship (management) of a college. At present, the investigation of the case is going on.
