Jagran correspondent, Madhubani. Woman Blackmail Case Bihar: Amidst the increasing use of social media and mobile, cyber crime is no longer limited to money only. Cases of emotional and mental abuse are also coming to light rapidly.
One such shocking case has come to light from Madhubani district, where a woman was first deceived by posing as her husband's friend and then the same person blackmailed her and pressurized her to leave the family.
The victim woman, resident of a village in Jaynagar police station area, has lodged an FIR in this regard in the District Cyber Police Station against Ramsevak Thakur, a resident of Karhiya of Rajnagar police station area. The woman alleges that her husband works in another city and she lives in the village with her children.
Meanwhile, the accused called and introduced himself as an acquaintance of her husband. The conversation started and gradually moved from phone calls to video calls. After the trust increased, the accused started visiting the woman's house. During this time he made objectionable photos and videos of the woman.
The woman alleges that the accused also saved the numbers of her relatives and acquaintances from her mobile phone. After this he started blackmailing the woman. The accused started pressurizing her to leave her children and husband and stay with him.
When the woman protested against this, the accused started defaming her by sending objectionable pictures and videos to her relatives and acquaintances. Mentally broken by this, the woman finally reached the cyber police station and pleaded for justice.
In this regard, Deputy Superintendent of Police cum Cyber Police Station Head Ankur Kumar said that an FIR has been registered on the complaint of the woman. The matter is being investigated and further action will be taken based on the evidence.
