First Case Of Disproportionate Assets Registered Against Kasganj Inspector Narendra Singh, FIR In Aligarh

Jagran correspondent, Aligarh. The first case has been registered in the Anti Corruption Police Station against Inspector Narendra Singh posted at Kasganj Police Station.

The inspector is accused of amassing assets disproportionate to his income. The Inspector is currently posted in the Mahila Police Station of Kasganj. Narendra, who was posted as SSI in Chandaus police station, was arrested three years ago by the Anti Corruption Cell of Agra while taking a bribe of Rs 40 thousand.

The allegation was that he had pressurized the manager of Mahendra Singh Higher Secondary School (Chandaus) to give money in the name of assistance in the case registered against him. Threatened to send him to jail if he refused. The police then sent Narendra to jail. He got bail after one and a quarter year.

During the arrest itself, investigation of disproportionate assets was conducted against the Inspector. Investigation by the Anti Corruption Police Station found that Narendra Singh, a resident of Noorpur area of ​​Bijnor, collected Rs 56.6 lakh disproportionate to his income from 2009 to 2022. According to anti-corruption police station in-charge Devendra Singh, a case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
