The youth of the area present during the proceedings of the Forest Department in village Nizamatpur of Bijnor.
Jagran correspondent, Bijnor. Hundreds of youth of Daranagar Ganj area had built a playground in the Ganga Khadar area of village Nizamatpura. The forest department, claiming this land as its own, dug up the running track with a JCB. The youth who reached the spot created a lot of ruckus.
Its video is also being circulated. Later, a large number of youth reached the Collectorate and requested DM Jasjeet Kaur to save the playground. The youth alleged that the Forest Department is demolishing the said playground, whereas hundreds of youths from many villages of the area exercise in this ground as well as prepare for joining the army and police.
At 11 am on Thursday morning, hundreds of youths from six villages including Shubham, Vikas Kumar, Arjun Singh, Rohit Deval, residents of Daranagar Ganj area, reached the Collectorate. The youth told that they have built a playground on the vacant land on the banks of Ganga in village Nizamatpura.
The youth alleged that the forest department team dug the field with a JCB this morning. Also the youth were stopped from going to the field. When the youth protested, the Forest Department team even threatened them. Its video is also being circulated on the internet media.
There was an uproar at the spot for a long time. The youth demanded DM Jasjit Kaur to keep the playground safe and stop the action of the Forest Department. After this, the youth also reached the SP office and gave a complaint letter requesting to save the playground.
On the other hand, Forest Inspector Saurabh Singh says that under the plan of the Central Government, a park is to be built at this place. Therefore this land has been marked and fenced.
