Dismissed policeman roaming around posing as a fake CBI inspector is in police custody.
Jagran correspondent, Sonipat. The police have arrested a 60-year-old former policeman who was roaming around posing as a fake CBI Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Inspector. The accused police is a resident of SEZ Paharipur village of Jhajjar.
He has been suspended in a corruption case. At the same time, he has also been jailed in this case. He came to visit his relatives in Bhatgaon. He was impressing people by posing as a CBI Inspector. On being suspicious, the villagers informed the matter to the Sadar police station.
It is coming to light that he used to pretend to be an inspector while traveling by bus to avoid fare. It is also coming to the fore that he lives alone, away from the children. Often reaches out to relatives or acquaintances. At present, Sadar police station has registered a case against the accused.
The villagers of Bhatgaon had complained to the police that a person was roaming in the village in police uniform. He is flaunting his prestige by making himself a CBI Inspector. When people became suspicious from the gesture, they reported the matter to the police.

After the information, when the team of Sector-3 CIA and Sadar Police Station reached the village, he introduced himself as a CBI Inspector in front of the team. When it was examined it turned out to be fake.
He identified himself as Randhir, a resident of village Sej Paharipur in Jhajjar. The police have registered a case against the accused and arrested him.

Investigation has revealed that the accused was earlier in the police department. In 2002, he was dismissed in a corruption case in Kaithal. He also spent time in jail in this case. After this he was dismissed.
Randhir told the police that he used to dominate people by wearing uniform. Besides, one does not have to pay fare in buses. He has relatives in Bhatgaon. He had come to visit his relatives only on Thursday. He had bought the uniform even before coming here.

During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused had purchased police uniform from a shop in front of Sonipat police station three days ago. After which he continued traveling in buses also. At the same time, Bhatgaon had reached his relatives.
Where people informed the police about the matter. At present the police is investigating the matter. The shopkeeper selling the uniform will also be interrogated.
