For the last 15 days, Chandni along with her one and a half year old daughter and husband were living on rent in Poonam's house in Navneet Vihar Colony, Khoda. On Sunday night, Poonam saw Chandni's body in a pool of blood in the room. A one and a half year old daughter was found clinging to her mother's dead body on the spot.

Seeing this, they told the neighbors and called Bihar and informed Chandni's mother. After this Sunil Kevat reached Khada from Loni. Police reached the spot and investigated the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. On Monday, the father filed a complaint against the son-in-law to the police accusing him of dowry death.

Sunil Kewat alleges that his son-in-law had murdered his daughter on February 13 by slitting her throat. After this he also stayed in the same room and escaped on the afternoon of 15 February. However, the police is still denying such information. Police also found a noose from the room.

Landlady Poonam says that she had set up a shop in the market located near the house. Chandni was living in a room on the second floor of the house and her mother-in-law lived in the adjacent room. On Sunday night, mother-in-law had seen Chandni's brother-in-law Nitish alias Nitin running away from the room. After this he called and told this to Poonam.

When Poonam returned at night and went straight to Chandni's room, she raised an alarm after seeing the dead body. Poonam says that there was blood on the side of the head. Police say that during interrogation it has come to light that the neighbors had also seen the husband in the room on Sunday morning.

ACP Indirapuram Abhishek Srivastava says that investigation is being done by registering a report against the husband under the sections of dowry death. The exact cause of death will become clear after the post mortem report comes. The search is on for the husband and other in-laws in the case.
