Jagran correspondent, Chhapra. A case has come to light of a medical officer posted in Chhapra Sadar Hospital misusing the name of demanding money illegally from the relatives of the patients. This incident has created an atmosphere of concern among the hospital administration and the common people.
Dr. Harendra Prasad, son of Suryadev Prasad, resident of Suksenwa Misir of Katiya police station area of Gopalganj district and doctor of Sadar Hospital, has given an application in Bhagwan Bazar police station and said that some anti-social elements are taking the help of his name and demanding money in the name of getting injury report and post mortem report made.
He said that by such activities, not only the family members of the patients are being misled, but their personal and professional image is also being harmed.
Dr. Harendra Prasad has mentioned in his application that on January 10, at around 8:22 am, a call was made from a mobile number demanding money in exchange for getting an injury report written in his name. The doctor clarified that he has no connection with any such illegal recovery and it is completely fake and illegal act.
He has demanded the police to seriously investigate the entire matter, identify the culprits and take strict legal action against them. In this regard, Bhagwan Bazar police station incharge Subhash Kumar said that the application has been received by the doctor and the matter is being investigated. Police are carrying forward the investigation on the basis of the related mobile number and other facts.
