Digital Desk, Patna. Today a new era has started in Rashtriya Janata Dal, one of the major parties of Bihar. The party has elected Tejashwi Yadav as the national working president of RJD.
The post of National President in RJD was earlier held by Lalu Yadav. He was holding this post since the establishment of the party in 1997. After this decision of RJD, the 'Lalu era' has officially ended in the party. Now Tejashwi Yadav will be the high command of the party.

The announcement was made at the inaugural session of the RJD's national executive meeting, which was attended by Lalu Yadav and his wife Rabri Devi, both former chief ministers of Bihar. Lalu Yadav handed over the appointment letter to his son Tejashwi Yadav in the presence of other top leaders.
RJD spokesperson Ajaz Ahmed said, "After the approval of the national president, a proposal was made to appoint opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav as the national working president of the party. The entire committee unanimously accepted the proposal and from today onwards, Tejashwi ji will work as the national working president of the party following the guidelines of the party and the national president."
Tejashwi Yadav also on the post of Leader of Opposition
Tejashwi Yadav is the younger son of former Chief Minister Lalu Yadav and has also been the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar. At present he is also holding the post of Leader of Opposition in Bihar Legislative Assembly.
RJD had contested the recently concluded assembly elections on the face of Tejashwi Yadav, but the party had to face a crushing defeat. After which there was continuous churning in the party. Now Tejashwi Yadav has completely taken command of the party in his hands.
