Municipal elections are to be held in Pimpri Chinchwad, Maharashtra on January 15, before which the election flying squad has seized 19 washing machines after receiving a complaint about distribution of washing machines and silver utensils. A case has been registered at Kalewadi police station regarding this incident.
Efforts are being made to woo the voters before voting. Now only a few hours are left for voting. Even after the campaign has ended, candidates are adopting new tactics to get voters to vote in their favor. The seized washing machines are part of that.

Accusation of distributing notes in Pune
A case of violation of code of conduct has come to light during the election campaign in Pune. Here, information about distribution of notes to voters in division number 9 has come to light. Local people say that some candidates along with their assistants were trying to distribute money in sealed envelopes to the voters, who were caught red-handed by the people present at the spot.
