Samvad Sutra, Ramnagar (West Champaran). In a joint action of Forest Department and SSB on the border road near Govardhan Range, two smugglers were arrested with bear bone. This action was led by Forester Brijlal of Govardhan Range, in which SSB also played a role.
The arrested smugglers have been identified as Rameshwar Kazi and Chandan Kumar. According to the information, both the smugglers were involved in smuggling of wild animal parts for a long time.
Using an iron net in the forest in Barwakala Harnatad area, they trapped and killed a bear. After this, preparations were being made to sell his organs. The plan was to smuggle bear parts to the Nepal border near Ramnagar.
In this action, objectionable material has been recovered from the smugglers. The Forest Department said that this action is part of efforts to conserve wildlife and stop smuggling. Legal action is being taken against the arrested accused. In this regard, CF Neshamani of VTR said that the Forest Department team is arresting two smugglers with bear bones and interrogating them.
