Jagran correspondent, Greater Noida. District Court Special Judge SC-ST Judge Somprabha convicted two property dealers Rajiv Gupta and Pradeep Mittal who gang-raped the girl on the pretext of getting a job.
20-20 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 2.95 lakh has been imposed on Rajeev Gupta and Rs 2 lakh on Pradeep Mittal. 80 percent of the fine will be given to the victim. The culprits sexually exploited the victim for about four years. When the movement stopped during the Corona period, the culprits continued to sexually exploit them through video calls.
The husband came to know about the incident after finding obscene videos in the victim's mobile phone. On encouragement from her husband, the victim took refuge in the police and court to punish the culprits who exploited her.
The incident with the victim, a resident of New Delhi, took place in the year 2017 in Phase 3 Kotwali area of Noida. The victim was told by her friend that there was a vacancy for a job in an office located in Sector 64, Noida. The victim, who was leaving the concerned office after giving an interview, met property dealer Rajeev Gupta in the same building.
He took the biodata of the victim saying that she was a banker in his office. The next day, Rajiv called and invited him for a job at a monthly honorarium of Rs 15,000. The victim started going to work between 10 am and 6 pm. He got the job of record maintenance. Apart from him, a security guard was also deployed in the office.
When the behavior of the people coming to the office was not good, the victim left the job after 15 days and asked Rajiv to settle the accounts. Rajiv Gupta called him the next day. Rajiv arrived after a long wait and first fed us food.
When he got a headache after eating, Rajiv sent him to another room to rest for some time. After going into the room he lost consciousness. When the victim opened her eyes, she found herself naked, Rajeev and Pradeep were drinking alcohol.
When the victim complained to the police protesting against the incident, the accused beat her and threatened to broadcast the obscene video on the internet media. Even after marriage, the accused continued exploiting her. After coming to know about the incident, the husband promised to support her and the victim started the fight for justice.
The victim tried to file a case against the accused through the court. Complained in Jaitpur police station. From there the case was sent to Phase-3 Kotwali of Noida. Kotwali police registered a case of gang rape and other sections on the basis of screenshots of video calls of the accused provided by the victims in the preliminary investigation.
The police completed the investigation and filed the charge sheet in the court. During the hearing in the court, on the basis of the victim's statement and evidence, both Rajeev Gupta and Pradeep Mittal were found guilty and sentenced to jail and fine. For not depositing the fine amount, convict Rajeev Gupta will have to face additional imprisonment of 28 months and Pradeep Mittal will have to face additional imprisonment of 16 months.
Continued sexually exploiting the victim even during the lockdown, sending porn videos
The victim told that in the year 2020, due to Corona, restrictions on movement were imposed during the lockdown. Even after this, the culprits continued sexually exploiting the girl. While threatening the victim by making a video call and forcing her to strip, he himself took off his clothes and started doing obscenity. Send porn videos. After marriage, the victim stopped receiving calls.
The accused continued their arbitrariness by threatening to send the obscene videos made earlier to her husband.
