Gas Tanker Leak: A tanker loaded with gas overturned on NH-27 near Nariar under Motipur police station area of Muzaffarpur district, causing chaos in the area for some time. After the accident, when an attempt was being made to remove the tanker with the help of a crane, gas leakage started in it.
The people present at the spot became frightened due to the fear of gas leakage. As a precautionary measure, the movement of vehicles was stopped for some time, due to which there was a jam of about one and a half kilometer long on National Highway-27. There were queues of vehicles on both sides and passengers had to face a lot of trouble.
It is being told that the gas tanker was going from Barauni to Nepal. As soon as information about the incident was received, the local police reached the spot and started controlling the situation. In view of safety, people nearby were instructed to stay away from the tanker.
After much effort, the gas leak was controlled and the work of removing the tanker from the road was started. After this, traffic could be gradually restored. It is a matter of relief that there were no casualties in this accident.
