The girl, who had registered a rape case against Deputy Registrar Sadar Maharajganj and his associate, was arrested and taken away by the Delhi Police team. A case has been registered against the girl under serious sections in Timarpur police station of North Delhi district. A three-member team of Timarpur police station sub-inspector Deepak Kumar, Anil Kumar Singh and lady constable Chanda reached Ravindranagar police station on Sunday. With the help of the police station, the team arrested the accused girl from her house. Taken to the district hospital for medical examination.
After investigation, the team left for Delhi with the girl. On June 20, 2023, the girl had registered a rape case against Deputy Registrar Maharajganj Sadar Rakesh Kumar and Shailendra Singh Chauhan at Kotwali Maharajganj. In this case, the Deputy Registrar had got stay from Allahabad High Court on 17th August. On July 24, 2023, the girl filed a case under the IT Act against the Deputy Registrar at Ravindranagar police station, accusing him of circulating obscene videos and photos.

On August 23, 2023, the girl filed a case of gang rape against the Deputy Registrar at Timarpur police station in North Delhi district of Delhi. During investigation, Delhi Police found the allegations to be false. On this basis, the investigator filed a cancellation report in the case and presented it in the court.
Accepting the report, Tis Hazari Court had ordered to register a case against the girl under serious sections on 11 November 2025. Inspector in-charge Ravindranagar Dhoos Omprakash Tiwari said that the Delhi Police team had sought his cooperation. During the investigation, the team caught the girl and took her with them.
