The electricity consumed while working from home also contributes to Infosys' greenhouse gas emissions footprint. As we look to enhance and update our reporting methodology, obtaining accurate data on the current energy use of working from home is essential to our ongoing efforts.

The survey also asked employees to report on home electrical appliances, fan and air-conditioner usage, lighting wattage and whether they have access to solar energy, and encouraged them to share energy-saving ideas they implemented at home. According to the company, this exercise will help update its emissions reporting and support targeted energy-efficiency interventions.
