Digital Desk, Indore. Questions have again been raised on the cleanliness of trains that claim to provide better facilities by charging premium fares. A case of sighting of cockroaches in the AC coach of Veerbhoomi Express coming from Asawara (near Ahmedabad) to Indore has come to light. The passenger lodged a complaint in this regard by sharing a video on the social media platform 'X' and demanded action by tagging the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) and senior railway officials including Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav.
Cockroaches seen roaming on seats and floor
Passenger Yash Gupta saw cockroaches roaming inside the AC coach and made a video of it. Cockroaches are clearly visible on the seats, walls and floor in the video. He also lodged a complaint on Rail Madad portal.
No solution even after complaint
The passenger alleges that despite the complaint, neither the coach was cleaned nor pesticide was sprayed during the journey. No concrete steps were taken even by the coach attendant. While responding on social media, Railways asked for travel related details and said to send the matter to the concerned department, but there was no immediate improvement.

Demand for compensation and investigation
The passenger has demanded an investigation into the matter and action against the responsible officials and compensation to the affected passengers. They say that despite paying premium fare, expected cleanliness and facilities are not being provided.
Railway officials say that the complaint has been received and it will be resolved on priority. However, this incident has raised serious questions on the cleanliness and maintenance system of AC coaches.
