Jagran correspondent, Moradabad. Guru Jambheshwar University has extended the date for filling the undergraduate first semester examination form till 26th December. Earlier this date was fixed for 23 December. Even now, if the examination form is not filled within three days, then the students will have to fill the examination form of the university with a fine.
Till December 23, 70 percent of the examination forms have been filled. Because, the date for filling the examination form was fixed from 16th December. However, due to the delay in filling the forms by the students of rural areas, the long process of filling the forms on the Samarth portal, less time available to fill the forms and the crowd at the cyber café, they have not been able to fill the examination forms yet.
University examinations are likely to start from January 5 and emphasis is being laid on completing them in January itself, so that studies for the next semester can start on time. Apart from this, a meeting has also been called at the university level to decide the examination center and finalize the examination schedule.
This time, strict and technical arrangements are being made to conduct the examination without cheating. In a press conference on Tuesday, Vice Chancellor of Guru Jambheshwar University, Prof. Sachin Maheshwari said that one more chance has been given till December 26 to fill the examination form. He said that preparations for conducting the examination have also intensified.
Vehicles carrying question papers will be hired which will be equipped with GPS. Due to which the location of the vehicle as far as it will take the question paper is being monitored by GPS equipped vehicles to maintain the sanctity of the examination. There will be voice recorders along with CCTV in the classrooms.
Guru Jambheshwar University administration is making major changes in the examination system this time. The Vice Chancellor said that to eliminate any possibility of copying and paper leaks, a plan is being made to keep the question papers in bank lockers instead of keeping them in colleges. A spontaneous offer in this regard has come from a big bank.
He has assured adequate arrangements for holding question papers. For this, talks are going on with bank officials. Special caution will also be taken during question paper distribution. GPS system will be installed in the vehicles carrying paper, so that their every activity can be monitored.
Voice recorders will be installed in classrooms
CCTV cameras will be mandatory in the classrooms at the examination centers as before, and this time voice recorders will also be installed, so that any kind of inappropriate conversation or attempt at copying can be caught. In private colleges, non-government aided supervisors will be appointed by the university. Apart from this, the university itself will decide whether private colleges should be made examination centers or not.
To ensure cheating-free examination, the Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Controller of Examinations and Finance Officer will also conduct surprise checks during the examination. If identical answer sheets are found in any class, the concerned room invigilator will be debarred. The university has a clear message that cheating will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
The Vice Chancellor says that it is necessary to complete the examinations of the current academic session 2025-26 on time, so that the session 2026-27 can also be completed on time. With this objective in mind, a plan was made to conduct the examinations in the shortest possible time.
