In the talent hunt competition organized under Gorakhpur Mahotsav, artists registered tremendous participation in the audition to showcase their skills to thousands of people. A total of 196 artists showcased their talent in various cultural genres in the auditions held at Baba Gambhirnath Auditorium on January 2 and 3.
In these, artists from surrounding areas of the district also displayed their art. In order to provide equal opportunities to the artists, the competition was divided into different categories and age groups. The presentations in singing, dancing, musical instruments, folk art and other genres greatly impressed the audience and the jury.
On the basis of evaluation done by the jury, 27 participants have been selected to perform on the main stage of Gorakhpur Mahotsav.
GDA Secretary Pushpraj Singh said that the aim of the talent hunt is to provide a powerful platform to the emerging talents, so that local artists get recognition and can present their art on a wide scale.

These artists were selected. The Secretary of the Authority said that for group dance, Sufiyana Kathak Group has been selected first, Sujit Fusion Group second, Rani Group third and Fusion Dance Academy and Tarana Group have been selected in the special category. Similarly, in solo dance, Arush Singh first, Kamakhya Singh second, Juhi Sharma third and Prince Kumar Gupta and Ina Rathore have been selected in the special category, in music, Sukriti Shukla first, Yuvraj second and Prithvi Shukla third, in smooth music, Aryan Maurya first, Artika Gupta second, Vinayak Jaiswal third, Sanvika Rai have been selected in the special category. Whereas in the folk song category, Katyayani Tiwari, first, Tansen Suraj second, Jafreen Anjum III, Supriya Rawat have been selected for the special category, Akash Srivastava first in Mono Act (Mimicry), Shiva Srivastava II, Harsh Kumar III and in other talent Ramesh Tiwari Priam, Mitti the Fighter II and Jitendra Kumar have been selected for third position.
