State Bureau, Patna. Brainstorming is going on among all the political parties on the results of the assembly elections. Those close ones who behaved in anti-party manner during elections are being identified. Despite securing an overwhelming majority, the two major constituents of NDA - BJP and JDU, identified many leaders from this category. Also took action against him.
The review is still going on in the major constituent parties of the Grand Alliance – RJD and Congress. Action is not being taken. The disciplinary action of Bharatiya Janata Party started during the election days, which continues even after the results. The biggest action was taken against former Union Minister Rajkumar Singh.
He was given a show cause notice. It is a different matter that instead of replying to the notice, Singh resigned from the membership of the party. BJP had also given notice to its Legislative Councilor Ashok Aggarwal. His wife was contesting elections from another party against the party candidate in Katihar.
Aggarwal remains in the team. Because in his reply he rejected the charge of anti-party conduct. BJP Art-Culture Department convenor Barun Singh had contested the elections as an independent candidate from Bahadurganj.
He was expelled from the party. Still, he is as active in BJP activities as before. He was seen on the stage at the swearing-in ceremony of the government.
JDU took big action
JDU has taken the biggest action so far on charges of anti-party conduct in the assembly elections. The party removed the district presidents of Bagaha, East Champaran, Begusarai and Bhojpur from their posts.
Working presidents have been made in these districts. It is possible that action may be taken against some other office holders also. Rudal Rai, who was removed from the post of District President of Begusarai, has been a member of the Legislative Council.
In fact, there was a swift review of the defeat in RJD and Congress, but no concrete action was taken against anyone responsible. The reason is that both the parties are not able to decide who is responsible for the bad defeat?
In the review meeting of RJD, the names of Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Yadav and some such leaders, who are practically very dear to the party's leader Tejashwi Yadav, were taken as responsible for the defeat.
Similarly, the blame for the defeat in Congress is being laid on the leaders including State President Rajesh Ram, who were given the responsibility of selecting the candidates apart from talking about the agreement with RJD. Rajesh Ram had proposed resignation on moral grounds. This was not accepted.
