Sports competition has been started in Bihar Agricultural University (BAU) Sabour.

The grand inauguration of the three-day annual inter-college sports and cultural competition took place on Wednesday in the premises of Bihar Agricultural University (BAU), Sabour. It was inaugurated by Ram Kripal Yadav, Agriculture Minister of Bihar Government. The program was presided over by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr. DR Singh.
The opening ceremony started with an attractive march-past of the participants, in which all the players took oath to participate in the competition with integrity, discipline and sportsmanship. In his address, Agriculture Minister Ram Kripal Yadav, while congratulating the players, said that discipline, health, hard work and mutual coordination are the basic mantras of success in life. He called upon the participants to bring glory to the University at the state and national level.
Enthusiasm shown in athletics and cultural competitions on the first day
On this occasion, the Agriculture Minister visited the tissue culture laboratory, GI products and technologies of the university. Besides, various publications of the University were released and materials were also distributed under the Scheduled Tribe Sub-Plan of Bihar Government. Bihar Legislative Council member Dr. N. was present in the program. Of. Yadav and Pirpainti MLA Murari Paswan also encouraged the players and stressed on honesty and dedication to achieve the target.
In the presidential address, Vice Chancellor Dr. D.R. Singh said that along with studies, sports are necessary for all-round development and students should take inspiration from great players. League matches of long jump, javelin throw, kabaddi, badminton and volleyball were also organized on the first day. All the Deans, Directors, Registrars of the University, Principals of various colleges, Heads of Departments, scientists, teachers and a large number of students were present in the inauguration ceremony. This three-day long event is emerging as a powerful platform for sports, culture and mutual harmony.
