Digital Desk, New Delhi. Sahil Mohammad Hussain, a resident of Morab district of Gujarat, has sent a video message from Ukraine, in which he has appealed to the people not to join the Russian army. Sahil has alleged that he was forced to join the Russian Army by being implicated in a false drugs case.
Sahil told that he had gone to Russia for studies in 2024, but due to financial and visa problems he came in contact with some Russians who were involved in drug trade. He alleged that the Russian police falsely implicated him in a drugs case and said that the case would be dropped if he joined the Russian army.
"I appeal to people not to join the Russian Army. There are many scammers here who can trap you in false cases," Sahil said in the video. He has appealed for help from the Indian government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri has said that the Indian government is working for the release of Indian citizens who have joined the Russian army. He has advised Indian citizens to avoid offers to join the Russian Army.
