People are falling ill due to the bitter cold, 500 are reaching the hospital every day.
Jagran correspondent, Charkhi Dadri. The bone-chilling cold is adversely affecting people's health. If we talk about the last one week, the number of fever, cough, cold, bone and respiratory patients has increased. Every day 500 patients suffering from these diseases are reaching civil and mother-child hospitals. The daily OPD of both these health centers of the city is exceeding 1300 whereas on normal days it was limited to 1000.
In such a situation, OPD has increased by about 24 percent at present. Doctors say that people are increasingly falling prey to diseases due to the harsh cold. A week ago, the number of fever patients was 50-60, but now the figure has crossed 120.
Similarly, OPD for cough and cold has also increased as compared to before. At the same time, the number of patients suffering from pain in bones and ribs has also increased. A huge crowd of patients is being seen in front of these OPD rooms. The attendants who accompanied the patient told that it was taking more than an hour to get the number here. The situation has become such that in every house someone or the other is falling prey to cold. The number of elderly people and children is high.
These days the number of patients in the government hospital of the district is increasing day by day. Despite the shortage of chief doctors in the hospital, 1,000 OPDs are taking place every day. Most of these patients suffer from fever, ortho, cough, eye, cough and cold.
Deputy CMO Dr. Ashish Mann said that whenever any member of the family complains of fever, he should immediately consult a doctor and take medicine. Apart from this, the suffering patient should wear a cloth or mask over the mouth. At the same time, it would be better for the patient to stay in a separate room so that no other member of the family can get infected.
More than 120 X-rays are being done
Many people are reaching the hospital every day with the problem of bone pain due to cold. Most of the patients are those who had earlier suffered fractures in their bones and are now complaining of pain in the cold weather. X-rays are also being done for these patients and currently more than 120 X-rays are being done daily in the hospital.
Number of tests increased in lab
Experts are also advising the patients affected by the weather to undergo various types of tests. This is the reason why the number of tests in the civil hospital lab has increased. According to LT, currently more than 2000 tests are being conducted here every day. On normal days this number was limited to 150.
Due to cold, OPD of health centers has increased slightly. There is an appeal to the people that as soon as they feel health related problems, they should first reach the nearest health center and consult a doctor. Take special care of the elderly, children and respiratory patients in this season. Dr. Naresh Kumar, Civil Surgeon, Charkhi Dadri Health Department
