Family members giving information about the incident that happened in America.
Jagran correspondent, Gurdaspur. A youth from Gurdaspur, who had gone to America for livelihood, died tragically in a road accident. The deceased has been identified as Gurpreet Singh alias JP (33), who had gone to America about eight years ago in search of a better future. According to the family, he used to transport passengers there through Uber taxi service and had established his small business with hard work.
Family members told that on February 7, Gurpreet was going to drop the passengers to their destination in his car. Meanwhile, while driving, he suddenly suffered a heart attack, due to which the car went out of control and collided with the road divider. He was seriously injured in the accident and his spinal cord was broken. He was immediately admitted to the hospital.

Second attack in the hospital
The family says that Gurpreet's condition was improving and the doctors had expressed the possibility of being discharged in a day or two. But in the meantime, he suffered a second heart attack in the hospital, due to which he died. This incident has raised many questions. Family members say that no clear information was given regarding treatment and monitoring after the accident. They also want to know why the second attack occurred suddenly and whether proper treatment was received on time.
The deceased's father Gurbaksh Singh, brother-in-law Sharanjit Singh Sunny, grandfather Kuldeep Singh and maternal uncle Santokh Singh told that Gurpreet was the only son of the family. His wife and two young children also lived with him in America. His sister and in-laws are also settled there.

Help sought in bringing the dead body to India soon
Gurpreet's brother-in-law said that he was a very hard-working and humble young man, who had made his mark by struggling. There is a wave of mourning in village Gohat Pokhar due to the untimely death of Gurpreet. The villagers have demanded from the Central and State Governments to help in bringing the mortal remains of the deceased to India as soon as possible and to provide financial support to the family. At the same time, the family members want transparent information about the complete circumstances of the accident and treatment, so that all the circumstances behind the death can be clear.
