Dialogue Associate, Munger. During treatment in Sadar Hospital, the accused in a theft case escaped by dodging the police. This incident created a stir in the police department.

Action has been recommended against two constables on duty on charges of negligence. Kasim Bazar Police Station Head Rubikant Kachhap said that Dev Kumar, a resident of Ghoshi Tola, was brought to the police station for questioning on Monday in connection with the theft incident that took place 10 days ago.

During interrogation his health suddenly deteriorated. After this, he was sent to Sadar Hospital for treatment in police custody. On reaching the hospital, the doctor admitted the accused in the ward after giving first aid.

During this time he took advantage of the opportunity. It was told that the accused took out the handcuffs from his hand and escaped from the hospital premises, dodging the policemen on duty.

As soon as information about the incident was received, there was chaos in the police department. The police station chief said that preliminary investigation has revealed that the absconding prisoner is a drug addict. Continuous raids are being conducted at possible locations for his arrest.

Also, investigation has been started into the role of the two constables deployed at the time of the incident. Initially, when the matter of negligence in duty came to light, the process of departmental action has also been started.

Police claim that the absconding accused will be arrested soon. This incident has raised serious questions on police custody and hospital security arrangements.
