Digital Desk, Gwalior. The life of a young man who was kidnapped over a loan dispute was saved because of his smartwatch. Hotel manager Saurabh Sharma (25) was kidnapped by moneylenders because, according to them, he was not able to repay the amount including compound interest. The moneylenders took him hostage, beat him mercilessly and locked him in the room, but the kidnapper's smartwatch became his savior, with the help of which he was able to free himself from the clutches of the accused.
The young man had come home on leave
According to the information, Saurabh Sharma, resident of Koteshwar Colony, works as a hotel manager in Haridwar. He had come to Gwalior on leave a few days ago. According to the police, he had borrowed Rs 2.90 lakh from local moneylenders Hemant Sharma alias Chhotu Tyagi and Sachin Tyagi. He had returned Rs 3.20 lakh, yet the accused started demanding Rs 6 lakh by adding compound interest.

Last Saturday, when he had left home to collect a parcel, he met both the accused on the way. Both of them asked him to sit on the bike, when he refused, they forcibly made him sit on the bike and took him to Sachin Tyagi's house in Govardhan Colony located at Gola Ka Mandir. There he was locked in a room and beaten. Later he was left alone.

Meanwhile, Saurabh's eyes fell on the kidnapper's smartwatch lying nearby. Showing wisdom, he called his girlfriend from the watch and informed her about the kidnapping, shared the location and requested for help. The girlfriend immediately informed his father and the police.
As soon as the complaint was received, the police detained Hemant Sharma and put pressure on him to contact Sachin Tyagi. Under police pressure, the accused released Saurabh. Later both the accused were arrested.
CSP Gwalior Krishna Pal Singh said that interrogation of the two accused who held the youth hostage is going on.
