Digital Desk, New Delhi. Amidst the tension with America, Iran has also started exploring the possibilities of peace talks. Iran's Foreign Ministry has indicated that both sides are understanding the seriousness of the situation and are sensing the possibility of a possible regional war.

In such a situation, Iran and America are looking for a diplomatic way to restart talks on the nuclear dispute.

According to sources, US Special Envoy Steve Witcalf and Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi may meet in Turkey on Friday. Leaders of countries like Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt can also attend the meeting.

The US Navy's increasing presence in the Middle East in recent weeks has made the situation more sensitive. US President Donald Trump has demanded concessions from Iran in its nuclear program, while Tehran has called it interference in its sovereignty. Iran says that removing the economic sanctions imposed on it is the primary condition for talks.

Diplomatic sources believe that Iran's ballistic missile program is becoming a bigger hurdle in the talks than uranium enrichment. The US has put forward conditions such as zero enrichment, a freeze on the missile program and ending support to regional allies, all of which Iran has long rejected.

However, some Iranian officials have indicated that in the event of a deal it could show flexibility over options such as sending stockpiles of highly enriched uranium abroad or a temporary pause.

According to ANI, US allies in the Persian Gulf have warned Washington that Iran's missile capabilities still pose a serious threat to US bases and regional security. According to assessments, Iran still has active short-range missiles, launchers and production infrastructure, which poses a threat to US troops deployed in the Gulf region. Some Gulf countries have also shown hesitation regarding military use of their territory or airspace.

Recent satellite imagery has indicated partial repair work at nuclear sites such as Isfahan and Natanz. Experts believe that this could also be a sign of preparations for possible attacks or transfer of resources. The UN nuclear monitoring agency has already sought clear information from Iran on its stockpile of highly enriched uranium.

EU ambassador summoned for declaring Revolutionary Guard as terrorist

According to the AP, Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghei told Sowar that the European Union's ambassador to Iran was summoned to protest the designation of the country's paramilitary Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist group.

However, Iran also declared the EU army a terrorist organization in protest against the move on Sunday. At the same time, Iran Police has detained four foreign nationals on charges of spreading instability in the country. However, information about their nationality has not been shared. According to government media, four grenades have also been found from the accused. (With inputs from news agencies Reuters and ANA)
