Dabri-Gurugram road is looking bad these days.
Jagran correspondent, West Delhi. The busy Dabri-Gurugram road connecting West Delhi to Gurugram is looking in bad shape these days. The bad condition of the road and the dense fog that prevails till daybreak has made the problem of potholes even more deadly. The situation is such that traveling on this route is no longer convenient for the passengers.
This is the situation when the Delhi government had launched a campaign to fill potholes on the entire Delhi roads only last month, but it remained untouched by this campaign too. Yes, at some places this work was completed by putting debris in the pits instead of asphalt.
Big, deadly potholes have emerged every few hundred meters on the road. These potholes appear suddenly due to reduced visibility due to fog. To avoid these, when the driver applies brakes suddenly, there is always a risk of being hit by vehicles coming at high speed from behind. A major accident like chain reaction collision can happen at any time on this route.
The worst situation is near Pankha Road turn, where the traffic system has completely broken down due to a deep pothole in a large part of the road. Due to this pothole, the speed of vehicles has slowed down, causing long traffic jams. During the recent rains, this pit was filled with water, which worsened the situation. Bike and scooter riders are most at risk, who are afraid of slipping in these deep potholes.
Local residents and daily commuters say that due to the negligence of the administration, this busy road is now becoming the cause of accidents. If not repaired in time, this adventure track amidst dense fog can cause a major tragedy.
Dabri-Gurugram road is an important traffic lifeline of Delhi.
Dabri-Gurugram road is an important connectivity road of South and West Delhi, which starts from Dabri turn in Dwarka and joins NH-48 connecting Palam Vihar and surrounding sectors of Gurugram. Its total length is about 17 to 18 kilometers. This route is a major means of daily transportation for lakhs of people of Dwarka, Dabri, Najafgarh and surrounding areas.
