Jagran correspondent, Hamirpur. Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh is lagging behind in school safety plan. Most government and private schools have incomplete information or have not submitted it, making the district's performance appear weak in the state-level review.
The Education Department has instructed all schools to upload the data immediately, so that the safety of students can be ensured and preparations for disaster management can be strengthened.
Impact on the ranking of the district
According to the information, a total of 327 schools in Hamirpur district have started working on 'T App' from the school, but the data of most of these schools is either incomplete or has not been finally submitted yet. Its direct impact is on the district
Departmental officials believe that 'T App' from the school is not just a formality, but a very important digital tool for the safety of students in times of disaster. Through this app, important information like structure of school premises, emergency exits, contact details, resource availability and disaster response plan is secured, thereby enabling quick action in case of any emergency.
According to departmental data, 269 schools have not yet uploaded the data on the app, while there are 68 schools which have not submitted the file despite filling complete information, due to which their records are also being shown as incomplete.
The Education Department says that the State Disaster Management Authority is reviewing the progress of all the districts at an interval of every 15 days. In this review, Hamirpur district is repeatedly appearing at the lower level, which has become a matter of concern for the administration. If schools do not make necessary improvements soon, further strict measures may be taken.
If we look at the block wise situation, only 47 schools in Bhoranj block, 73 in Bijhari block, 82 in Hamirpur block, 80 in Nadaun block and 47 in Sujanpur block have started the process of uploading data on the app. However, the number of schools uploading 100 percent data is still very low.
There are only 14 schools in Bhoranj block, 12 in Bijhari, only 4 in Hamirpur block, 26 in Nadaun block and 11 schools in Sujanpur block, who have uploaded the complete information and finally submitted the file.
What is 'T App'?
It is noteworthy that School Se 'T App' is a mobile application, which has been specially developed keeping in mind the security of students, teachers and school premises. It includes features like disaster management planning, attendance tracking, emergency alerts and quick response. In case of natural disaster, fire or any other emergency, this app can prove to be extremely useful for school administration and relief agencies.
The Education Department has appealed to all the school management committees, principals and private school operators to upload their complete information from the school on 'T App' and submit the file without any delay, so that the performance of the district can be improved and the security system of the students can be strengthened.
An appeal has been made to all the government and private schools of Hamirpur district to upload the data from the school on 'T App'. To improve the overall performance of the district, schools need to work more seriously in this direction. - Kamal Kishore Bharti, Deputy Director, Elementary Education Department, Hamirpur.
