Haridwar-Najibabad Road Work Is In The Final Stages, Vehicles Will Start Running Soon; The Road To Kashipur Will Be Easy

Jagran correspondent, Haridwar. The work of Haridwar-Najibabad section of NH-34 is now in the final stages. The project is progressing rapidly. Soon vehicles will ply on this 50 km long route. Most of the stretch was opened to traffic except three elevated sections and one railway overbridge. The construction of this route is expected to be completed soon.

Haridwar-Najibabad section of NH-34 is being made four-lane. This section starts from the Haridwar-Rishikesh Highway near Chandighat on the Haridwar side and ends near Jalalabad in Najibabad. Work on this section being built between Haridwar in Uttarakhand and Najibabad in Uttar Pradesh has been going on for the last several years.

Some parts of it are also greenfield. Work is still left on 3 elevated sections and railway bridge on Haridwar Najibabad section. However, work on most parts of the expressway is now almost complete. Recently Chandi Ghat Bridge has been opened for traffic.

Animal corridor is also being built in this section, so that wild animals can move here and there in the forest without any problem. The speed at which work is going on on the Haridwar-Najibabad section. Looking at this speed, it can be said that the work can be completed this year.

People of the district will get relief after completion of the project

After the completion of Haridwar-Najibabad section, the journey to Najibabad and Dhampur as well as Kashipur in Uttarakhand will become easier for the people of the district. Apart from saving the travel time, the journey will also become more comfortable as compared to traveling on the existing potholed roads.
