Jagran correspondent, Hisar. The weather is changing rapidly in the state. Due to the change, there is a possibility of drizzle or light rain in nine districts on December 31 and January 1, 2026.

Along with this, due to cold wave the temperature has come down rapidly. Hisar had the coldest night on Monday and the minimum temperature was recorded at 2.1 degrees. The temperature will come down further due to rain and cold wave in the coming days.

On December 30, yellow and orange fog alert has been issued in the entire state. According to the India Meteorological Department, the cold may increase due to snowfall in the mountains and the possibility of rain on December 31 and January 1.

Right now the cold has increased due to the cold wave. The temperature has come down rapidly. The minimum temperature of Hisar has reached 2.1 degrees and that of Narnaul has reached 4 degrees. This is much below normal.

Dr. Madan Khichad, Head of the Department of Agricultural Meteorology, Haryana Agricultural University, said that the weather in Haryana is generally likely to remain changeable till January 2.

During this period, there is a possibility of cold wave on 30th December. But due to the partial impact of another western disturbance from December 31, there is a possibility of cloudy weather at most places in the state and sporadic drizzle or light rain at some places during the night of December 31 to January 1. There is a possibility of the temperature falling again, especially at night, due to north and northwest cold winds from January 2 to January 5.

Chance of rain in these areas on 31st

There is a possibility of drizzle and light rain in Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Mahendragarh, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Jind, Bhiwani and Charkhi Dadri of the state. Apart from this, there may be fog in about eight districts.
