State Bureau, Lucknow. Under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign of voter list in the state, notices will start being distributed in a day or two. The hearing date will be set at least seven days after the notice is issued. For this, necessary amendments are being made along with feeding data in the software.
Under SIR, there are 1.04 crore voters whose records could not be found from the voter list of 2003. Notice will be given to these voters with no mapping. The notice will be of two pages. The first page will have the details of the notice while the second page will have a list of 13 certificates that the voter will have to present to the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO) during the hearing.
Election Commission of India has launched ‘Book-a-Call with BLO’ facility with the aim of making voter services more accessible. Through this facility, any voter can book a phone call to talk directly to the Booth Level Officer (BLO) of his area. This service will prove to be extremely useful for obtaining information and assistance related to voter list and SIR.
You can login on the Election Commission portal (voters.eci.gov.in) or ECInet app through mobile number. If the mobile number is not registered then you will have to sign up first. After login, BLO details can be obtained through EPIC number or reference number by going to ‘Book-a-Call with BLO’ option. After this, the call will be booked as soon as the ‘Request Call Back’ option is selected. The concerned BLO will contact the voter over phone within 48 hours of the call being booked.
In case EPIC number is not available, this facility can also be availed by filling the information of state, district, assembly constituency and booth. Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa has appealed that all voters should make maximum use of this facility for information related to SIR and establish direct contact with their BLO.
