Digital Desk, New Delhi. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has praised the Central Government regarding the Union Budget 2026. He has thanked Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for presenting the budget. In his post on Twitter, he wrote, "The budget cannot be appreciated enough. Every section of the society has been taken care of in it."

CM Gupta said that this budget is not just a document of figures, but a concrete action plan to realize the resolve of a developed India. He particularly described promotion of tourism, expansion of infrastructure and encouragement of investment as steps to move the country forward towards economic development.

Delhi-Varanasi High Speed ​​Rail Corridor ‘historic step’

The Chief Minister described the proposed high-speed rail corridor between Delhi and Varanasi as a historic decision that will give impetus to the resolve of a developed India. He said that this is not just a railway project, but a powerful symbol of “speed, progress and public trust”.

According to him, this project will take Delhi's connectivity to a new level. Travel time will be reduced, business activities will get a boost and the tourism sector will get new energy. Besides, employment opportunities will be created on a large scale for the youth and 'Ease of Doing Business' will be strengthened.

The Chief Minister described increasing the allocation of capital expenditure (capex) in the budget to ₹12.2 lakh crore as a big and decisive step. He said that this will give new impetus to infrastructure development, expansion of transportation network and long-term economic growth.
