Himachal Scorched By Unseasonal Heat, Western Disturbance Will Be Active Again On This Day; Dense Fog Warning In Three Districts Today

The February sunshine raised the normal temperature.

State Bureau, Shimla. The continuous strong sunshine in Himachal in February has increased the maximum temperature by about seven degrees Celsius above normal. So far this month, 14.4 mm rainfall has been recorded in the state, which is 61 percent less than normal.

The highest rainfall of 27.4 mm has been recorded in Kullu. Most of the districts have recorded 60 to 80 percent less rainfall than normal. Due to sunshine in the state, there has been a difference of one to three degrees Celsius in the maximum temperature on Thursday.

The highest increase was 2.8 degrees Celsius in Manali. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of dense fog in Mandi, Bilaspur and Hamirpur on 13 February. There was fog in Bilaspur and Mandi on Thursday morning.

Visibility in Bilaspur was around 50 meters. Western disturbance is likely to become active in the state from February 17. Although earlier the possibility was expressed from 16th February. Tourists are reaching Shimla and Manali. Tourists are enjoying snow in Manali's tourist destination Solanganala.

The maximum temperature in Shimla, Mandi, Kullu and Kangra in the state was recorded 6.5 degrees Celsius above normal. Now the minimum temperature in the state is in minus only in Lahaul Spiti district. The temperature was minus 8.8 degrees Celsius in Tabo of Lahaul Spiti and minus 8.3 degrees Celsius in Kukumseri. The minimum temperature in most places is below 10 degrees Celsius.

The highest minimum temperature was 10.0 degrees Celsius in Paonta Sahib. The minimum temperature in Kalpa, Solan, Manali, Sarahan, Bhuntar and Barthin was less than five degrees Celsius.
