Jagran correspondent, Greater Noida. While uncovering the Vinay murder case in Greater Noida, the police caught a history-sheeter after an encounter. Kasna and Ecotech-1 police station and SWAT team have jointly taken this action.
According to the police, the accused is a history-sheeter of Ecotech-One Kotwali. The accused was admitted to the hospital after he was shot in the leg during the encounter. The family alleges that the accused had committed the murder on the instigation of the history-sheeter.
Case registered against five people
Vinay was shot dead in Luksar village on Saturday evening. The family members registered a case against five people, accusing Nitin of the village of murder. Sunder Nagar was also included in these.
The accused was admitted to the hospital
The DCP had formed seven teams to search for the accused. On Sunday night, Kasna, Ecotech-One and SWAT team took joint action in search of murder accused Sundar and when they reached near the green belt of Omicron-1A, the accused opened fire on the police. In retaliation, a police bullet hit the accused in the leg. After that the police arrested the accused. The accused has been admitted to the hospital.

Illegal weapons also recovered
ADCP Ashok Kumar Sharma said that more than 10 cases are registered against the accused under serious sections in various police stations. The family members of the deceased have alleged that Nitin and others murdered Vinay on the instigation of history-sheeter Sunder Nagar. An unnumbered car and illegal weapons have also been recovered from its possession.
Meanwhile, the accused is being interrogated by the police. One accomplice has absconded from the spot, soon other accused will also be arrested.
