The home guard, who reached the spot after getting information about a road accident on the old highway located on NH-09 of Babugarh police station area, was hit by the driver of an uncontrolled unknown vehicle. The home guard was seriously injured in the accident. Who has been admitted to the hospital. Police have started searching for the driver.
Inspector Munish Pratap Chauhan, in-charge of police station Babugarh, said that at around 10.30 pm on Monday night, there was a massive collision between a Swift car and a canter laden with milk in front of Mannat Hotel on the old highway in Kasba Cantonment area.
As soon as information about the accident was received, home guard Vinod Kumar and head constable Sudhir Kumar, riding on Kasba Leopard, reached the spot. Both were investigating the accident site and conducting traffic control. Then the driver of an uncontrolled unknown vehicle hit home guard Vinod Kumar at high speed and carelessly.
The collision was so severe that Vinod Kumar was seriously injured. The head constable present at the spot, with the help of passers-by, immediately took the home guard to Devnandani Hospital on Garh Road. Where he is undergoing treatment. According to doctors, the condition of the home guard is stable. Many of the injuries are serious. Police is searching for the accused driver. He will be arrested soon.
