Police taking murder accused Iqrar to jail. Source Police
Jagran correspondent, Badaun. Frustrated by love affairs, farmer Iqrar painted his hands with his daughter's blood. She had gone out to meet her lover on the night of 19 December. Suspecting this, Iqraar followed her to the fields and killed the daughter by slitting her throat with a sickle. On Wednesday he was arrested and sent to jail. An FIR has been registered against him under the sections of murder and destruction of evidence.
Iqrar, living in Lahra Ladpur village, admitted that his 17-year-old daughter was in a love affair with a young man. She had even left home to meet him secretly in the past. Later on getting information about this, it was explained several times but there was no improvement. She also left to meet him on the night of 19 December. When they did not see him on the bed, they went towards the fields in search of him.
Seeing that she was on the farm waiting for her lover, my blood boiled. At night, he had taken a sickle to protect her from animals and with that he hit the daughter on the neck and killed her. After this he came home and slept. The next day an alarm was raised in the village that the daughter had gone missing. On December 26, she went to the police station and informed that despite a lot of searching, her daughter could not be found, hence the police should help.
According to the police, after the murder of the daughter on the night of 19 December, Iqrar was seen coming from the fields towards the village. When the soldiers patrolling at that time asked the reason for going out at night, he said that he was returning after guarding the fields. When the dead body of the girl was found in the mustard field on Monday, the father was the first to be suspected. Since the dead body was several days old, half of it was eaten by animals.
After the post mortem report confirmed murder by strangulation, interrogation of his father Iqrar and brother was started on Tuesday. Iqrar confessed to the incident, on his information the sickle used in the murder was also recovered. After being produced in the court on Wednesday afternoon, Iqrar was sent to jail.
The girl has been murdered by her father. He admitted that he had murdered his daughter by slitting her throat out of anger over her love affair. The sickle was also recovered at his instance.
