Jagran correspondent, Jaipur. On Tuesday morning, a speeding car rammed into a truck moving ahead on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Dausa district of Rajasthan. Four out of five people in the car died in the accident, while one person was injured. Among the dead, three are residents of Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh and one from East Delhi.

After the accident, the car got stuck in the rear part of the truck and kept getting dragged for about eight kilometers. The police had to struggle to remove the dead bodies from the car. A crane was called and the car was taken out from under the truck.

The accident happened at around 5.30 in the morning

The accident occurred near pillar number 193 of the expressway in Pappada area of ​​Dausa district at around 5.30 am. Nangal Rajawatan Deputy Superintendent of Police Deepak Meena said that five people traveling in a Haryana number car were returning after visiting the Mahakal temple in Madhya Pradesh. The deceased include Rahul (35), resident of Khoda Colony, Ghaziabad, Prince Gupta (18), Vikram Singh (25), resident of Nandgram Mariam Nagar and Paras (31), resident of Indra Park in Shahdara district in East Delhi.

The injured Brijmohan Gupta (28) is a resident of Ghaziabad. According to the police, the front part of the car was completely damaged. The four deceased were sitting on the front two seats of the car. Whereas, injured Brijmohan was sitting on the back seat. The cause of the accident is believed to be the car driver dozing off.

Truck hits scooter, woman and two daughters die

In Goredi village of Didwana-Kuchaman district in Rajasthan, a truck hit the scooter and dragged it for about 100 meters. The woman riding the scooter and her two daughters died in the accident. A daughter was seriously injured. On Monday night, 47-year-old Sharda, riding a scooter, was going from home to the market with her three daughters. Meanwhile, a speeding truck hit him from behind.

In the accident, Sharda and her two daughters Lado and Ankita died on the spot and one daughter Akshita was seriously injured. Mother and daughters also got dragged along with the scooter. The truck driver did not stop even after people shouted. Police have arrested truck driver Ramdhan. Girdhari, the husband of the deceased woman, has been ill for a long time.
