So far, the deaths of six passengers have been confirmed in this tragic accident. As soon as information about the accident was received, there was chaos in the area.

According to the information received, the accident bus was going towards Ramnagar. It is being told that the bus suddenly went out of control near Sailapani and fell into a deep ditch. The accident was so horrific that many passengers died on the spot. So far, five bodies have been taken out from the scene, while one more dead was confirmed later. The work of ascertaining the identity and address of the deceased is being done by the administration.

As soon as information about the incident was received, police, administration and disaster management teams reached the spot. Local people also played an important role in relief and rescue operations. According to the police, the rescue operation is facing difficulties due to the great depth of the trench, however, the rescue work is going on on a war footing.

The bus that met with the accident was UK 07 PA 4025 belonging to Kumaon Motor Owners Union (KMOU) Limited of Ramnagar. It left for Dwarahat Nobada at 11 am on Monday. This morning the bus left Nobada at 6.30 am. The bus met with an accident near Sailapani Band at around 8 o'clock. The driver is fine. The bus belongs to Mohammad Altaf of Ramnagar.
