Jagran correspondent, Moradabad. On the second day of the 27th Uttar Pradesh Police four-day horse riding competition at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Police Academy, the spectators along with the players were filled with great enthusiasm. The competition witnessed a glimpse of discipline, courage and excellent coordination of the horse riders. Sitapur B unit secured first position in the UP Police Relay Competition. Bravo show jumping, tent jumping individual and relay competitions were held on Saturday.
Sitapur team dominated the second day's competition. While the horses of the Bareilly team also performed well and the Moradabad team also won the first position in a competition. 37 horses and riders from teams of Sitapur, Bareilly, Aligarh, Lucknow and Meerut zones along with Moradabad Police Academy are participating in the competition.
The competition started at 8 am on Saturday morning in the horse riding grounds of the academy. A relay competition was conducted first in the competition. In which 14 horsemen participated with their respective horses and mares. Sitapur Team B's horseman Avinash Kumar's horse Shaheen and Kuldeep Kumar's horse Dara secured the first position.
On behalf of the team, constable Avinash Kumar performed well with horse Shaheen, constable Kuldeep Kumar with horse Dara (horse number 19 and 25). The riders showed a high level of proficiency in balance, speed and overcoming obstacles, earning them first place. Moradabad Police Academy-B got the second position. Sub Inspector Naresh Kumar Ghoda Rathore, Chief Constable Bir Singh riding brilliantly with horse Urvi (horse no. 33 and 42) received a lot of applause from the audience.
Discipline and control were clearly visible in the performance, which helped them finish second. Police Academy Moradabad A's head constable Mukesh Babu horse Montina, Deputy Superintendent Rajneesh Kumar Yadav horse Gulab (horse number 32 and 37) performed well. It remained at number three. At fourth position in Lucknow A, constable Satyam Singh horse Ada, chief constable Chandram Yadav horse Ila (horse number 14 and 15) stood.
In the Bravo Show Jumping event, Dara, horse of Kuldeep, rider of Sitapur team, secured the first position. Horse Gulab of horse rider Bir Singh of Moradabad Police Academy stood second, mare Shaheen of horse rider Avinash Kumar of Lucknow stood third and horse Montina of horse rider Mukesh Babu of Moradabad Police Academy stood fourth.
In the UP Police Tent Pegging individual event, Bareilly team rider Tarun Sagwan's horse Mumal secured the first position. Whereas the second place also went to Rambo, the horse of Bareilly rider Ravindra Kumar. Sitapur team's horse rider Ajay Kumar's horse Chanchal stood third, Sitapur team rider Himanshu Kumar's horse Rankumbh, Bir Singh's horse Bharat and Pramod Kumar's horse Neelkanth stood fourth.
Apart from this, in the UP Police Dressage Individual Team event, Moradabad Police Academy's horseman Mukesh Babu's horse Gaurav, Rajneesh Kumar Yadav's mare Nagina and Raj Naresh's mare Urvi secured first place. Aligarh team's horse rider Bir Singh's horse Diamond and Mayank Sharma's mare Rimjhim got second place.
Meerut team rider Chandam Yadav's mare Filikka and Tushar Kant's horse Rathore got the third position. This competition was conducted on Friday evening. At the conclusion of the competition on Saturday evening, all the winning horse riders were honored with prizes. Deputy Commandant Sunil Raghuvanshi, RI Academy Bhagwati Prasad and other staff were included in the judging.
