In Dehradun, Milk Fat Is Less In Five Milk Items, Starch In Three Spices.

Jagran correspondent, Dehradun. In view of the upcoming festival, Food Safety and Drug Administration, Dehradun, as part of a public awareness campaign conducted through Food Mobile Analysis Laboratory in various areas, found less milk fat in five food items and starch in three spices. In Vikasnagar, the team sent samples of five serial product pulses for testing.

As per the instructions of Commissioner, Food Safety and Drug Administration, Sachin Kurve, Food Safety and Drug Administration, Dehradun conducted a public awareness campaign at Camp Tyagi Road to provide quality food items to the public. In which the common consumer got the food items used in his kitchen like milk, milk products, edible oil, ghee, spices, pulses etc. tested free of cost on the spot.

71 food items were tested on the spot through food mobile analysis laboratory. In which milk fat was found to be less in five food items while starch was found in three food spices. Assistant Commissioner Food Safety and Drug Administration, Dehradun Manish Sayana said that common consumers can contact the office of the department for free testing of the food items used in the kitchen of their society/colony.

On the other hand, Senior Food Safety Officer Vikasnagar Sanjay Tiwari held a meeting with the Vikasnagar Business Board and instructed the traders to display the food license/registration and food display board. Eight high risk food establishments were inspected.

As per the instructions of the Food Authority of India, samples of five serial product pulses were taken for testing. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Nodal Food Mobile Analysis Laboratory Virendra Singh Bisht, Senior Food Safety Officer Municipal Corporation Area Ramesh Singh, Food Analyst Ramesh Joshi etc. were present.
