Digital Desk, Ranchi. A Beechcraft C90 air ambulance aircraft of Redbird Airways crashed in Chatra district of Jharkhand, killing all seven people on board. This plane fell in the dense forests of Simaria block of Chatra on Monday evening.
All seven people on board the ship died
A total of seven people including the pilot, co-pilot, doctor, medical personnel, patient and his wife died in this accident.
Family shocked by accident
The names of Sanjay Kumar, his wife Archana Kumari and nephew Dhruv Kumar are also included in the deceased. Sanjay Kumar was originally a resident of Chandwa in Latehar district and ran a hotel in Satbarwa, Daltonganj. He was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Ranchi after suffering 65 percent burns in a short circuit incident on February 16. When his condition became critical, he was being taken to Delhi by air ambulance, but this tragic accident happened on the way. Both of them got married in the year 2008 and have two small children, who lost their parents.
The radar broke midway
This plane had flown from Ranchi to Delhi. It took off at 19:11 Indian time. But within a short time its contact was lost. The aircraft disappeared from radar after being handed over to the next ATC from Ranchi.
The flight was carried out despite bad weather
The minister said that the circumstances under which the flight took off despite bad weather is also a matter of investigation.
Storm can also be the reason
Chatra Deputy Commissioner Kirtishree said that prima facie the incident seemed to be due to bad weather. However, the correct information will be confirmed only after investigation.
Contact lost due to change in weather
According to DGCA, after establishing contact with Kolkata ATC, the pilot had requested for diversion due to bad weather. But after some time radar contact was lost.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has started an investigation into the incident. A team is being sent to recover the black box and obtain flight data to determine the exact cause of the accident.
