When the team arrived for the raid, the operator closed the gate. After every attempt to open the gate failed, the officers pasted a notice on the gate and instructed the operator to come to the office immediately, but the operator did not reach the officers till late in the night. Anticipating adulteration, the team took samples of boondi, namkeen and gram flour from different places.
Assistant Commissioner Food Dr. Sudhir Kumar Singh said that information was received that water is being packed and sold without license in Koilhwa on Nakaha Number 2 Sports College Road. On information, Food Safety Officer Swaminath, Umashankar Singh were sent to the spot along with SK Srivastava. The main gate of the complex where complaint of water packing was received was found from inside.
When a person named Pradeep was talked to inside, he informed about opening the gate only after talking to the owner. While the team was still waiting, the person jumped the gate and ran away. After no one else was found at the spot, the notice was pasted.
