Jagran correspondent, Gorakhpur. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday explained in detail the importance of sports in life. Describing this as the way to realize the vision of developed India, he said that if the youth plays, the country will blossom. Yogi, who was addressing the prize distribution ceremony of MLA Sports Competition-2025, said that the path to success in life is possible only through a healthy body and a healthy body will be achieved through sports and yogic activities.

Next time, he talked about organizing sports competitions for working and retired people at the ward level. In a function organized at Veer Bahadur Singh Sports College, the Chief Minister reiterated his commitment towards the promotion of sports and players and said that the government is continuously strengthening the sports infrastructure.

There was a huge change regarding sports activities

Within the last 11 years, there has been a huge change in sports and sports activities in the country. The whole world looks towards India for Kabaddi, Hockey, Badminton, Athletics. A new demand has arisen for competition in Olympics, Asiad, Commonwealth and World Championships.

The Chief Minister said that 1,000 players have directly and indirectly 10 thousand players participated in the MLA sports competition. It is sports that provides entertainment in even and odd situations and also plays a big role in making us physically, mentally and intellectually fit.

CM Yogi boosted the enthusiasm of the players

In the closing ceremony, the Chief Minister encouraged the players by watching the final match of wrestling (74 kg weight category) and Kabaddi competition. During the prize distribution, the Chief Minister rewarded the players of senior wrestling competition winner Shubham Yadav, runner-up Anurag Yadav and senior Kabaddi competition winning team Regional Sports Stadium and runner-up team Nina Thapa by giving them medals, trophies and gifts.
