Important Notice For Valley Guide License Holders In Gulmarg; Tourism Department Issued Notice, Know What Is The Matter

The Assistant Tourism Director clarified that action will be taken if the documents are not submitted.

Jagran correspondent, Srinagar. The Assistant Tourism Director, Gulmarg has issued an official notice to all Valley Guide License holders in the region mandating them to submit necessary documents and details for verification of official records under the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Business Registration Act.

The purpose of the verification process is to confirm compliance with relevant laws, guidelines and prior instructions issued by the authorities. The move also underlines the department's commitment towards maintaining professional standards in the tourism sector.

This instruction applies to all valid or expired Valley Guide License holders falling within the jurisdiction of the Assistant Director of Tourism, Gulmarg, whether they are presently working in the area or merely claiming to be associated with it.

Submit your documents within 15 days

These license holders will have to submit their documents within 15 days from the date of issue or publication of the notice. The required documents can be submitted in person during the office hours of the Assistant Director of Tourism, Gulmarg, or a scanned PDF file can be sent through email at gulmargtourism@therategmail.com.

The notice also clarifies that after review of the documents submitted, license holders may be called for physical verification or interactive session to confirm the authenticity of the information provided. In some cases, the department may contact the issuing authority or check official records to verify the information. Appropriate action will be taken against license holders who do not submit documents within the 15 day time limit or submit incorrect or false documents as per the provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Trade Registration Act and other applicable rules.
